Most of the National Parks are part of Malagarasi Valley which forms the second largest river in Tanzania, the Malagarasi River. It is also one of the rivers that have slow-moving water and delivers its water to Lake Tanganyika. The Area is suitable for birdlife and a sweet home for Hippos and Crocodiles. It is the only place you will find over 600 hippos in one pool.
