7 Days North Serengeti Wildebeest Migration

After a healthy breakfast, you will meet an office representative for a short information about safari then depart to Tarangire national park for a game drive. This drive will take around two hours. During game drive you may see zebras, wildebeest, elephant, Maasai giraffe, Baboons, Fringe-eared Oryx and predators such as Lions, cheetah, leopard even tree climbing python if you are lucky, alongside variety of birds such as the endemic ashy starling, Rufous-tailed weaver and black-collared lovebird. Picnic lunch will be provided by your driver Guide at the designed picnic area inside the park, then drive to the camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for full day safari with picnic lunches in hand. The park is situated inside of the Great Rift Valley with a distinctive evergreen forest that provides suitable habitat for olive baboons, monkeys, big families of elephants, tree climbing lions, and African cape buffalos. Midday you will enjoy lunch in the park before setting out for the open woodland areas where you will set your sights on giraffes, hippos and flamingos. After afternoon game drive, you will drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After  an  early breakfast  you’ll  descend  into  the  crater for  a  game  drive. Often considered the 8th Wonder of the World, the crater is a very important refuge for a variety of wildlife. Most commonly seen are big bulls of elephants and the vulnerable species of black rhinos. The crater is also home to big herds of wildebeest and zebras, thomson and grant gazelles, hippopotamus, African cape buffalos, prides of lions, hyenas, several cats, golden and black backed jackals, and close to 400 species of    bird, then drive towards the central part of the Serengeti called Seronera with game drive enroute to the camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will enjoy morning game drive at the central Serengeti. The center of the Serengeti, called Seronera, is a network of rivers that ensure dependable water supplies attracting wildlife throughout the year. It is here that you’ll have your best opportunity to spot the “Big Five”: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino, and the leopard. There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attract giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos. You might also catch a glimpse of cheetahs, hyenas and jackals. Early lunch at the camp followed by drive to the north with game drive enroute

Full day game drive at Mara river, observing big herds of wildebeest and zebra crossing as well as big crocodiles and hippos, with a bit of luck seeing crocodiles catching one of these animals during crossing.

Drive to Kogatende airstrip for a scheduled flight to Arusha, upon arrival at Arusha airstrip you will be picked up and transferred to Planet Lodge for lunch with dayroom followed by late afternoon transfer to Kilimanjaro International airport.
